  • NMSU – Las Cruces Main Campus

    • Located in Las Cruces, NM, New Mexico State University’s 900-acre main campus is situated at the crossroads of I-10 and I-25 in the Southern part of the United States. It enrolls more than 15,000 students from 49 states and 89 foreign countries. Most international students typically apply to this campus.
  • NMSU – Alamogordo

    • New Mexico State University at Alamogordo (NMSU-A) is situated in the foothills, at the base of the Sacramento Mountains. The basic two year traditional university-credited education has been expanded and enriched. NMSU-A has evolved from offering only two year traditional education courses to providing occupational/technical programs and courses for personal enrichment as well as selected bachelor completion programs through NMSU-Las Cruces Distance Education.
  • NMSU – Carlsbad

    • NMSU Carlsbad, located in Carlsbad, New Mexico, is a two-year branch community college of New Mexico State. NMSU Carlsbad offers a variety of quality educational opportunities.  Certificate programs of 30 to 36 credit hours are designed to provide the students with marketable and employable skills upon completion. Associate of Arts degrees are designed for individuals who plan to complete their educational goals with a baccalaureate degree.
  • NMSU – Dona Ana Community College

    • Dona Ana Community College, located in Las Cruces, Anthony, Hatch, and Santa Teresa, is a thriving college which offers 39 different two year degree programs and 14 certificate programs. Their academic programs are exceptional and prepare students for careers or entry into many different universities in the area, including New Mexico State University.
  • NMSU – Grants

    • NMSU Grants, located in Grants, New Mexico, provides an accessible quality education through innovative teaching and learning that promotes respect and service for diverse students and community. NMSU Grants provides a wide range of instruction from Adult Education and the GED program through advanced academics.

Degree expected:

Each college has a different set of degree options. Select the degree that is appropriate for you:

  • Four-year bachelor’s degree

    • This degree is typically awarded after 4 years of study. It is also commonly referred as baccalaureate degree or undergraduate degree.
  • Two-year associate degree

    • This degree is typically awarded after 2 years of study.  Many of NMSU’s associate degrees are designed to represent the first two years of a four year-bachelor’s degree.
  • Second undergraduate degree

    • Select this option if you have already been awarded a bachelor’s degree from any institution.
  • Certificate or program

    • Certificates are typically awarded after 1 year of study.  Many certificates are designed to represent the first year of an associate degree.
  • Dual Credit

    • This option is open to all current New Mexico high-schoolers enrolled in a high school with a dual credit agreement with NMSU. Talk to you high school advisor if you are interested in this option.
  • Non-Degree

    • Students enrolling under non-degree status are ineligible for financial aid, student employment, veterans benefits, and participation in intercollegiate athletics and student government. Furthermore, courses taken while one is enrolled under non-degree status may not be used to meet NMSU requirements for regular admission. Non-degree admission is designed to meet the needs of mature, part-time students who do not wish to pursue a degree.

  • A statement of financial support must be provided, dated within the last 6 months, from your bank, your family’s bank, or your sponsor showing that you have sufficient funds to pay for your expenses while in the United States.
  • Expenses include instructional fees, dependents, food, housing, books, and miscellaneous expenses.
  • If you are using family funds you will also need your  financial supporter complete this form. Upload it with their financial statement.
